Investigative teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), by order and under supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Tuzla Canton, are conducting extensive operational and investigative activities related to the events before, during and after the triple murder and attempted murder of three more people in Gradacac on Friday, the canton's prosecution announced.

They stated that other police agencies were also involved in certain checks.

"Police investigators are conducting detailed investigations and working on documenting various segments related to the said events, and individual reports and supporting material evidence have not yet been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office.

Until the reports and material evidence have been submitted, their analysis and prosecutorial decisions have been made, the Prosecutor's Office is unable and will not disclose to the public any details and information about each individual check and investigation that is carried out.

In particular, we cannot and will not respond to various unverified information and sensationalist reporting by certain media or to inquiries related to such reports that cause immeasurable damage to society as a whole and the further course of the investigation," the prosecution stated.

They added that a meeting of an operational investigative group of prosecutors and authorized officials from law enforcement agencies will be held today and further guidelines will be agreed upon in order to shed light on all the circumstances that preceded and relate to these events.

"Also, a meeting will be held today between the Office of the Chief Prosecutor and the management of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton, where the actions of the institutions in connection with the reported crime of domestic violence will be evaluated and analyzed concerning the specific case, as well as other cases of domestic violence and other forms of violent behavior," they stressed.

Nizama Hecimovic was brutally murdered on Friday, and Nermin Sulejmanovic broadcast the gruesome crime live on social networks.

He then killed a father and a son, Turkish citizens Denis and Onder Cengiz, with whom he had a legal dispute. Police officer Husein Kotoric, a relative of the murdered woman, as well as the wife, that is, the mother of the murdered Turkish citizens were wounded.

The daughter of the murder victim Nizama, a toddler, has been taken to the hospital, and afterwards the Center for Social Welfare will take her over until a guardian is found.

It has been established that four days before her murder, Nizama reported the killer for domestic violence. A Municipal Court judge, however, refused to grant her a restraining order - a decision that is now also being investigated.
