Drivers, beware! A large-scale traffic control operation is in progress, so radars in larger cities can be seen on every corner.

Until August 14, an international campaign of increased traffic checks is being carried out, which is aimed at controlling the speed of vehicle movement.

During the campaign, which is carried out simultaneously in 30 European member countries of the ROADPOL organization (network of traffic police in Europe), the traffic police will employ all available devices for measuring the speed of movement - hand-held radars, radars in video surveillance systems and devices for measuring speed in vehicles without police markings, so-called interceptors, while the average speed of vehicle will be measured on highways using an expanded and improved system.

Also, a certain number of patrols will record the speed of movement without stopping the driver, and the owners of vehicles that are caught exceeding the speed limit will receive a summons to their home address to declare the identity of the person who committed the offense.

The Ministry of the Interior (MUP) once again appeals on all drivers to respect the speed limits.
