Look of Belgrade is changing: These will be new Sava bridges, everything must be finished in 3 years
In three years, we will live in a completely changed country and it will all be done for Expo 2027, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced last night.
He stressed that investments will also be made in other planned projects, all of which will be worth more than 12 billion euros. The new investments have already been called "a new deal" for Serbia in the media.
As announced, the Prokop railway station in Belgrade will be opened in a little over two months. It is also known what the location near the previous fair will look like.
Presenting the locations and future works for the EXPO 2027 event where the new fair will be, Vucic explained that at the location of the previous fair, 62 percent will be public areas, while 38 percent will be left for buildings.
The president of Serbia also showed what the reconstructed railway bridge will look like, as well as the water tower and the Post Office building.
He announced that a river taxi will be built in Belgrade for the needs of the Expo.
"For the first time, we will build a Natural History Museum. We will create a museum district. We will also build the Philharmonic nearby. We will build a large aquarium," said Vucic, who is convinced that all projects will be successfully implemented.
In the photos we are showing you what some of those projects will look like when finished.
We singled out a new bridge over the Sava River and a pedestrian bridge.
