A member of the SNS presidency and the director of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, reacted to a statement made by the US ambassador in Pristina, Jeffrey Hovenier, who said that for the US, Kosovo is an independent and democratic state.

Hovenier also said that "the Serb List is an opposition party, like any other opposition party in Kosovo," which he does not consider a Serb political party, but a party of ethnic Serbs in Kosovo.

Petkovic responded to this on Twitter:
