President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic announced during the opening of a "peace highway" section from Nis to Merosina, that there will be an increase in the minimum wage by the end of the year.

The president said that the minimum salary will be (equivalent to) around 400 euros by the end of 2023.

"Salaries will also be increased, these are the big changes, and we have not given up on financial stability," he said.

Negotiations regarding the increase in the minimum wage for 2024 began in May, and representatives of trade unions and employers, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Labor, Veteran and Social Affairs are all participating.

For years, the minimum labor price has been increased once a year, so the new minimum labor price per hour will be valid from January 1 of next year.
