Identity of teens killed in crash in Vrcin revealed: This is how the tragedy happened, Serbia mourns them
At the Vrcin level crossing, in Dragoslava Stankovica Street, a locomotive that was not pulling train cars hit the right side of a Peugeot 308 around midnight last night, resulting in the deaths of two youths.
The emergency team that arrived at the scene confirmed the death of the driver, 18-year-old Vuk G. and of a passenger, a girl, 16-year-old A.B.
Another passenger in the vehicle, M.DJ. (18) was transported to the Emergency Center.
She sustained minor injuries.
The Peugeot was moving from the direction of Vrcin towards Kasapovac and at the moment when it crossed the railway line, a freight train (locomotive) came by, which hit the right side of the vehicle.
After the police and prosecutor's office conducted an investigation, the car was removed and the railway infrastructure that was damaged in this accident was repaired.
The company Railway Infrastructure of Serbia offered condolences to the families of the victims of this accident.
The Railway Infrastructure of Serbia once again appealed on drivers to respect traffic signals and be careful, especially when driving though level crossings, in order to avoid accidents and save human lives.
