Gasic on Serbia's decision to help Greece: Orthodox faith and tradition bind us

Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic confirmed that Serbian firefighters will be sent to Greece to help their colleagues, who have been fighting terrible wildfires all over the country for days.

"The friendship between the Greek and Serbian people throughout history has been untouchable. Orthodox faith and tradition bind us together. The Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in agreement with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will send a team consisting of 36 firefighters-rescuers and 14 fire engines to Greece," Minister Gasic wrote on his Instagram profile, along with the message, "We always stand by our friends!"

The team will leave for Greece today afternoon and will be deployed in locations where help is most needed.
