Construction crane collapses in New Belgrade in severe storm that hit the capital and rest of Serbia

Photos from the scene show that the crane is still on the ground, but luckily nothing was damaged and no one was injured.

A storm caused a lot of damage in Belgrade and across Serbia last night, and what particularly shocked Belgraders was seeing a huge crane collapse in New Belgrade, as if it was made of cardboard.

The morning after the terrible "superstorm" a Telegraf.rs portal crew visited the place where the incident happened, and as one of the workers in the Airport Garden neighborhood told us, he does not know how the collapse happened because everything was secured.

"We don't know how it fell, there is flexibility as wind protection, but what happened last night was chaos," he told us.
