Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels today at 7 pm.

They will discuss the situation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, as Vucic has already announced.

After the meeting they will address the media.

The president sent Stoltenberg a request for a meeting on July 12, while Stoltenberg expressed his willingness to meet with the leader.

Tensions in the north of Kosovo and Metohija were raised at the end of May when Albanian mayors tried, with the help of the police, to enter the municipal buildings, which was opposed by the local Serb population who did not participate in the elections.

Vucic spoke several times about the current situation and called on Serbs from the north of the southern province to preserve peace.
