After he was detained and then sent back from the border of Serbia, and after unofficial information arrived from the Montenegrin police that Danilo Scepanovic, a registrar from Bijelo Polje, was not allowed to enter Serbia, the IN4S portal contacted him and received confirmation of this.

Scepanovic recently posted a comment on social networks that was characterized as hate speech toward Radovan Rakocevic, a member of the Serb community in Montenegro, and a member of the Democratic Front in the local Assembly, which provoked a justified reaction from the public.

"Let go, man, you are talking to a sh*t from the Serb world. They will meet their end too, like in Kosovo and Croatia," is what Scepanovic wrote, (implying mass expulsion of Serbs.)

IN4S contacted Scepanovic and received a reply that the comment was "clumsily written"and that he "did not intend to offend anyone."

"It's a comment that was written a little clumsily, and then it was interpreted in a bad way. Of course, I don't think badly of Serbs, never, I think the best about Serbs. I have nothing against Serbs or Serbia. It was interpreted badly for some reason, but I'm in favor of people living together, socializing, regardless of their religion and nationality," said Scepanovic.

He went on to say that he regrets and apologizes to everyone who was hurt by his statement.

"I apologize to the people who misunderstood my comment. A big apology. I am a man of broad understanding and I have no problems with anyone in my life," said Scepanovic.
