Brian Walshe's two bank accounts seized: New details in the case of suspected murderer of Ana Walshe

Federal prosecutors have seized two bank accounts linked to Brian Walshe, the suspect in the murder of Ana Walshe, in an art forgery case.

Brian Walshe was charged in March with allegedly murdering his wife Ana, originally from Serbia, and with obstructing an investigation/obstruction of justice and improper transfer of a human body, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.

Walshe faces life in prison without parole if convicted of murdering his wife.

Before to that, Brian Walshe pleaded guilty in April 2021 to one count of fraud and illegal monetary transaction in the artwork case.

He allegedly took two authentic Andy Warhol paintings owned by a friend in South Korea and then put them up for sale on eBay. Brian Walshe then allegedly handed over fake paintings to the buyer.

According to WCVB, federal prosecutors are asking a judge for permission to seize just under $9,000 from the account.

A federal judge previously approved an order requiring Brian Walshe to return $225,000 in cash and hand over the original Warhol paintings.

According to prosecutors' new filing, the money from the newly discovered accounts would be added to the original forfeiture order.
