This is what driving along new Belgrade bypass looks like: Video taken from a car
Gazela Bridge, which is one of our busiest roadways, will have much less traffic after the flow of vehicles redirects to the new section of the highway
This morning at exactly 9 o'clock, the last section of the road around Belgrade, from Strazevica to Bubanj Potok, was put into operation.
As stated by the authorities, this has been awaited for 30 years, and the distance between Batajnica and Bubanj Potok should now be traveled by car in only 23 minutes.
This section of a full-profile highway has six lanes and is 47 kilometers long. In the video at the top of the page you can see the first cars driving along it.
Namely, the bypass will reduce the number of vehicles that cross Gazela Bridge, which is one of our busiest roadways, crossed by 200,000 to 250,000 people each day.
This should, consequently, reduce the level of air pollution in the Serbian capital.
