Vucic congratulates Mitsotakis on victory in Greek elections

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic last night congratulated Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on his election victory.

"I congratulate Mitsotakis on his election victory, I am confident that he will continue to work for the progress of Greece and its citizens, as well as for the further strengthening of relations with the brotherly and friendly Serbia," the president wrote on his Twitter account.

Based on a quarter of the votes counted, the conservative New Democracy was leading with 40.5 percent of the votes, data from the Ministry of Interior showed, while, according to the British press, after 60 percent of the votes had been counted, it was highly likely that Mitsotakis would have 157 members in the Greek parliament that has 300 seats.
