The Belgrade police are looking for a man who killed Milan J. (30) yesterday, by firing more than 12 shots at him from a pistol.

He approached the victim on a motorbike, carrying a bag of a food delivery company. According to eyewitnesses, Milan exchanged a few words with the killer, before he got shot in the chest and stomach. The rain of bullets damaged a parked car. The victim died on the way to the hospital.

Yesterday, the police spent hours gathering information and evidence. The shooting happened in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun.

Milan J. was an old "acquaintance" of the Belgrade police, who was in the past arrested for drug smuggling.

Neighbors told witnesses that he was killed while getting out of a car, which could mean that the killer was following him.

The investigation is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

According to what we have learned, Milan's car has been sent for expert examination, as well as the shell casings found at the scene. The prosecutor also ordered an autopsy.

From the beginning of the year until June 20, 18 murders and 23 serious crimes took place in Serbia. In a short period of time, the police solved all the cases.

And in the case of Milan's murder, the first 24 hours are the most critical for the arrest of the suspect.
