President Vucic on going to Brussels: I will not talk to Kurti until the arrested Serbs are released

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today, after a meeting of the Strategic Council of Serbia and Hungary, that he will not go to Brussels for a meeting with EU officials and for negotiations with Albin Kurti, until every Serb who has been arrested in Kosovo and Metohija has been released.

He stressed that last night he talked a lot with Orban about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, adding that he had been participating in negotiations for 11 years.

"Kurti never talked, he would come to go on monologues. I will not say anything in front of my friends from Hungary that could put them in an uncomfortable position. I don't sleep at night, I didn't talk about the threats sent to Serbia after the arrest of the (Pristina) policemen, unless they are released. From which powers, all the ways, what they will do, I took that on myself, only so they don't punish the country. The Serbian people can no longer tolerate oppression, every day they arrest a Serb guilty of being alive. "I will not go talk to Kurti until every arrested Serb has been released, until the fake mayors leave the north (of Kosovo and Metohija), until their (Pristina) police withdraw and stop arresting Serbs every day, and then we will talk about how to form the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities) in the fastest way. 'You want to, you do, you don't' - I'm done," the president stressed.

"I don't think they (EU) scheduled an exact date. He (Kurti) has better things to do, he is going to the Vatican, he will probably persuade them to recognize (Kosovo). Now they will ask for dates, don't ask for that. Finish what you have with him first, I will not agree to fait accompli tactics. Every time he makes five villainous steps, they make him take one back, and then you, Vucic, also take one back. But what, we haven't done anything? No Albanians were injured, only Serbs. An investigation is being conducted against people who did not even throw a stone. There is no investigation against the man who shot Galjko, two of our children were shot before Christmas, that (Pristina) policeman is free," stressed the president.
