Serbs let cars and buses pass at Jarinje, trucks with RKS license plates get stopped
They stress that it is urgently necessary for Pristina and Belgrade to come to an agreement and return the life of citizens to normal
Drivers of trucks with Serbian license plates who are not allowed to cross the administrative crossing (between central Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija) at Jarinje, because of a decision of the authorities in Pristina to ban import of Serbian goods, and who have been blocking the Raska-northern Kosovska Mitrovica main road since yesterday, today allow only passenger cars and buses to pass through that road.
According to Kosovo Online, trucks from the Kosovo side, that is, with RKS plates, are going back, because they cannot enter central Serbia.
Truck drivers say that they have decided to organize the blockade because they have been standing at the Jarinje administrative crossing since Wednesday, and every 10th of the month is the time to pay taxes.
They did not want to go in front of the cameras, but pointed out in a conversation that the blockade has nothing to do with politics, that Muslims and Albanians are also waiting to cross Jarnje in addition to Serbs, and that this is about survival, because they have families to feed.
They add that it is urgently necessary for Pristina and Belgrade to come to an agreement and return the life of citizens to normal.
