Ministry of Defense: We once again deny Kurti's allegations
The Serbian Army coordinates its activities with the international force deployed in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and fulfills all its obligations in accordance with applicable law
The Ministry of Defense on Sunday once again strongly denied the allegations the current head of the provisional institutions of self-government in Pristina, Albin Kurti, has made, in an attempt to deceive the public, claiming that members of the Serbian Army were involved in the arrest of three armed members of the so-called 'Kosovo Police,' whose illegal movement was prevented deep inside the territory of central Serbia, the ministry said in a statement carried by Tanjug.
"The Serbian Army carries out its regular assignments along the administrative boundary line with the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija, in accordance with the legal regulations of the Republic of Serbia, under orders from the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Army, Aleksandar Vucic, and in line with the Military Technical Agreement signed in Kumanovo in 1999," the statement said.
It added that the Serbian Army coordinates its activities with the international force deployed in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and fulfills all its obligations in accordance with applicable law.
"The Serbian Army will never allow individuals in Pristina, like Albin Kurti who continuously tells pathological lies, to place it in a misleading and untrue context," the statement said.
The Serbian Army will continue to carry out all the tasks entrusted to it by the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Army, Aleksandar Vucic, in an efficient and professional manner, and fulfill all it obligations required by law.
