Vucic speaks about situation in Kosovo and Metohija with US senators

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone last night with three US senators, Chris Murphy, Jeanne Shahin and Pete Ricketts.
The only topic of discussion was the situation in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, the press service of the president of the Republic announced.
Vucic told the US senators clearly and unequivocally that yesterday's arrest of Milun Milenkovic is a provocation and a crime on the part of the prime minister of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, by which he is trying to provoke a war in the heart of Europe.
Also, President Vucic said that Serbia is doing everything it can to preserve peace, but that the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija are exposed to the worst torture and persecution in the last 15 years.
Senators Murphy, Shahin and Ricketts told President Vucic that they demand restraint and calls for peace from Serbia, as this is in the best interest of everyone in the Western Balkans, said the statement.
