Sweetest ATP rankings for Djokovic, hardest fall for Nadal in last two decades
The Spaniard dropped incredibly to the 136th place
Out of all the 388 weeks he spent at the top of ATP rankings, there is no doubt that this one, which has just started, is definitely the sweetest for Novak Djokovic!
Because this is the first time that Nole is the best player in the world since he became the one to win the most Grand Slam titles. After winning the French Open final on Sunday, that number is now 23 trophies, against Rafael Nadal's 22.
By winning the French Open, Novak got 1,640 points and overtook Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev. Now he has 7,595 points, the Spaniard 7,175, while the Russian has 6,100.
Only one more change was seen in the Top 10, as Karen Khachanov is now in 10th instead of Felix Auger-Aliassime. Casper Rud remained fourth, Stefanos Tsitsipas fifth, Holger Rune is still in sixth place, followed by Andrey Rublev, Taylor Fritz and Jannik Sinner.
On the other hand, Nadal fell to his lowest ranking in the last two decades. Rafa did not play, lost 2,000 points and is now the world's 136th tennis player.
