Aerial view of a huge Serbian flag carried by people in Zvecan, in Kosovo and Metohija
Serbs gathered in Zvecan for a peaceful protest this morning, and as we reported, they unfurled the flag of Serbia. An aerial video shows it covering the street, making it look like the street itself was in the colors of our flag.
The flag is 250 meters long.
Those present were joined by doctors and employees of the clinic KBC Kosovska Mitrovica.
The largest number of Serbs so far in these protests has gathered in Zvecan today. The number of Kosovo police special forces and armored vehicles has increased since this morning, and tensions are high.
The song "Izadji mala" ("Come out, little one") originally sung by Ferid Avdic, is also echoing in Zvecan. That song has become a sort of unofficial anthem of the protest.
It is addressed to the fake mayors and Kosovo special forces who occupied Serb municipal buildings in the north.
The Serbs demand the withdrawal of the police of so-called Kosovo, they want the Albanian mayors to leave the municipal buildings, and the arrested Serbs to be released by Monday.
Of the four arrested Serbs, two are still held by the police and have been transferred to the southern, Albanian part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
