Brnabic tours BIO4 Campus construction works: It will cover 110,000 square meters
Users of the BIO4 campus are expected to move in in the first half of 2025
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has visited preparatory works for the construction of building at a Rakovica village location, as part of the implementation of the BIO4 project.
Together with the prime minister, other officials attending the event included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic, Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic, Minister of Health Danica Grujicic, Minister of Public Investments Marko Blagojevic and acting Director of the Torlak Institute for Virology, Vaccines and Serums Luka Dragacevic.
About the campus
The BIO4 campus has a total area of 110,000 square meters, and the total investment amounts to 190 million euros in construction costs, plus another 100 million euros for equipment, while the total number of people that will be able to use it is about 1,200 professors and researchers and about 4,000 students, plus guests and members of the business community.
Users of the BIO4 campus are expected to move in in the first half of 2025.
The central point of national investments in bioeconomic development is the construction of the BIO4 Campus, a unique in the wider region multidisciplinary project.
The name BIO4 stands for four key areas: biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics and biodiversity.
