Average salary in March was exactly 85,485 dinars

The average monthly salary in Serbia during March amounted to 85,485 dinars, (about 725 euros) while the gross salary, including tax and contributions, amounted to 117,669 dinars, the Statistical Office has announced.

Gross and net earnings in the first quarter of this year are nominally higher by 15.5 percent compared to the same period last year, but are actually lower by 0.4 percent.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the average gross and net wages for March 2023 are nominally higher by 14.5 percent, and in real terms they are lower by 1.5 percent.

Median net earnings for March 2023 amounted to 64,363 dinars, which means that 50 percent of employees earned up to the stated monthly amount.
