The newly elected Albanian mayors of the Serb municipalities of Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Zvecan in the north of Kosovo and Metojija will be sworn in today.

Based on the decision of the Ministry of Administration and Local Self-Government in Pristina, the future first man of Zvecan will be sworn in in an elementary school in the nearby Albanian village of Boljetin, the new mayor of Zubin Potok in the Albanian village of Cabra in that municipality, and in Saljska Bistrica, an Albanian village in the municipality of Leposavic, is where the ceremony will be held for the new mayor of that local government, reports Tanjug.

In the municipality of Zubin Potok, Izmir Zeciri from the Democratic Party won, having received 195 votes, in Zvecan it was Ilir Peca, from the same party, who got 114 votes, and in Leposavic, Lulzim Hetemi from the Self-Determination Movement led Albin Kurti won with only 100 votes.

Only 3.7 percent of voters went to the polls to elect new mayors and councilors in municipalities in the north.

The Serbs boycotted the elections, and their parties had no candidates.
