Kidnapped Chinese man's father extorted for another €20,000, receiving threats his store will be burned down
The Serbian police are looking for a man who, four days ago, attacked and kidnapped 25-year-old C.A. in a Chinese store in New Belgrade and then demanded that his father pays 33,000 euros.
The unfortunate man immediately paid 15,000 euros to the kidnapper's account.
C.A. managed to free himself and call the police.
However, now the victim's father is receiving threats that his store would be burned down unless he pays another 20,000 euros. The police have been informed about everything, and they launched a search.
Telegraf.rs has learned that on May 20 an unknown young man entered a Chinese store in New Belgrade and asked C.A. to show him some goods located upstairs. In an instant, he incapacitated the victim using a stun gun and dragged him to another room. He tied him up and ordered that he calls his father.
"The kidnapper said that he would burn down his shop and his son, unless he paid the money to his account within a few minutes. However, C.A.'s father continued to receive threats and demands to pay the rest of the money. The investigation in this case is ongoing," our source close to the investigation told us.
The police have launched a search for the kidnapper, who is a Chinese citizen.
The investigation is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
