The trial against Hashim Thaci and three other former leaders of the so-called of the KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army"), who are in custody in The Hague, has been adjourned, and will continue on June 12.
Due to this delay, the hearing scheduled for May 24, which comes after the conclusion of the testimony of the seventh witness of the Specialized Chambers, is also cancelled, Tanjug writes citing Reporteri.
With the testimony of the sixth witness, the trial of the former leaders of the so-called KLA in the Hague was continued. The session was closed to the public in order to protect the witness, "4355."
The first four witnesses in the trial of Thaci, Jakub Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi also gave their statements in closed sessions, while the fifth witness testified in some open and some closed cases.
On September 30 of last year, the Specialist Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
