Tuzla drama details: Special forces deployed, police cannot approach body of man who activated device
An explosive device was activated in a family house in the Moluhe settlement in Tuzla, Bosbia and Herzegovina, this morning, and according to initial information, the person who activated the device is dead.
However, the police still cannot approach the body.
Adnana Sprecic, spokeswoman for the Tuzla Canton police, said that at around 7:55 this morning, the Operations Center was informed that an explosive device had been activated in a house in the Moluhe neighborhood in Tuzla.
"A police patrol, police officers from the Special Support Unit, the Emergency Medical Service from the Tuzla Health Center, as well as police officers from the Criminal Police Department of the Tuzla Police Department and the Department of Criminal Techniques were immediately dispatched to the scene," Sprecic said.
She added that because of suspicion that there are more explosive devices there, the investigation of the scene has not yet started.
According to unofficial information obtained by Klix.ba, one male person was killed when the bomb was activated, but the police cannot get to the body.
Another person was injured and transported to the University Clinical Center in Tuzla.
"The patient with the initials E.O., who has multiple injuries to the extremities is hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation of the Tuzla Medical Center, and preparations for surgery are underway," said Tuzla Medical Center spokeswoman Ersija Asceric-Mujedinovic.
The cantonal police said that a doctor will access the victim's body when the conditions for that are created and an investigation will be carried out then.
