Director of the RFZO (Serbia's state health insurance fund) Sanja Radojevic Skodric says that this institution is in daily contact with medical professionals, when it comes to the condition of the patients injured in the two massacres that happened earlier in May.

She also said that there is no need to collect money to buy an arm prosthesis for a girl whose arm was amputated after she was shot during the Mladenovac massacre, but that the state and RFZO will buy it for her.

"Yesterday I visited N.V. and this is an incredible person, who has optimism, energy and courage. I also spoke with the doctors, because money for a prosthesis is being collected via social networks, and I want to say that the state will provide everything," Radojevic Skodric told TV Pink.

She pointed out that the patient's arm and both legs were injured, and during the first surgery her arm was amputated, while on May 11 the fracture on the second leg was fixated.

"She is recovering now. She's doing well, she's in intensive care. A prosthesis will be needed for the arm, a modern prosthesis is necessary. There are many types, and our doctors are still determining which type is best. Currently, two types are being discussed, they are consulting with colleagues from abroad. And so she will make a decision that is the best, and that will suit her as much as possible. We will provide all the funds, not only for the prosthesis, but will also finance the arrival of experts from abroad," said Radojevic Skodric.

According to her, this is not the first time that funds are being collected for someone, without RFZO or medical professionals being consulted.

Radojevic Skodric then appealed on all citizens, saying that she understands the desire for help, but to understand that the state is there to help first.

"Money should not be collected outside the state system, because it has not yet been decided which prosthesis suits Nevena," she added.

Radojevic Skodric then pointed out that all couples who meet the age requirements have the right to freeze their reproductive material, which also applies to couples who submitted requests to do that since February 10.

"There are more and more sick young people, and there is also infertility that comes as a result of therapies used in treating malignant diseases. We enable young people to be able to freeze their reproductive material, either now or later so that they can become parents," said Radojevic Skodric.
