Schoolgirl A.A., who was severely wounded during the school mass shooting, lost the battle after fighting for her life for 12 days.

The unfortunate girl died in the children's hospital in Tirsova Street. She had serious head injuries from a firearm, and despite the superhuman efforts made by the doctors, she succumbed to her wounds.

The Ministry of Health was the one that announced today that one of the wounded Vladislav Ribnikar elementary students has died.

Minister of Health Danica Grujicic, on behalf of herself and the Ministry of Health, offered her sincere condolences to the family.

The school massacre in Belgrade's central Vracar municipality took place on May 3 , when a minor, K.K. (13), a student in that school, entered the premises armed and first killed a security guard, and then took the lives of eight students.

The suspect called the police himself and told them what he had done. He was immediately taken into custody, and after that his father and mother were also detained. K.K. took two pistols from his father, from a safe. As explained in detail shortly after the crime by the head of the Belgrade Police, Veselin Milic, K.K. planned the crime for a long time, a month, and had not disclosed the motive.

Apart from the firearms he took from his parent's apartment, K.K. also brought four Molotov cocktails to the school.

"We are lost for words in the face of this tragedy. A huge human tragedy. This morning around 8:40 a.m., Ivanka Jovanovic, assistant director, called the emergency police department in Belgrade and reported that a child had entered the school with a firearm and was shooting randomly. Police patrols were immediately dispatched. After that, at 8:42 am, an N.N. person who introduced himself as K.K. also called the police and said that he had shot several people. When the officers arrived at the scene, it was determined that a firearm had been used by the boy who called our service. Eight students, seven girls and one boy died," Milic said at the time.

He added that the lives of two children remained in danger.

"Immediately after the said event, we detained the perpetrator on the spot. The weapon with which the crime was committed and four Molotov cocktails were also found. He had a list of children he planned to kill. The motive has not yet been established. He did not tell us. He chose the history classroom because it was near the entrance to the school, and the first class was his own, VII/2. He took the pistols from his father's apartment. He put them in a bag he had prepared and took the four molotov cocktails with him.

Upon arriving at the school, he immediately shot the security guard, then turned to a girl who was on duty and next another who was standing next to her at a desk, and another who was standing next to a piano, shot at them and murdered them. Then he continued towards the history classroom, on the way changing the clip and shot at a teacher and the other students.

Then he left the classroom, went to the school yard, took out the clip, threw it away, and called the police. He said that he planned this alone. There is a list of children he planned to kill. He himself worked out the plan for entering and leaving the school and, as he said, set the priority targets.

The schematic looks like something from a video game or a horror movie, which indicates that he planned everything in detail, by school grade, how to enter which classroom and how to eliminate which child and how many - in classes VII/2, VIII/4, VI/4, VIII/2, VII/4 and VII/3, namely, 1, 4, 2, 6 and 6 children, respectively... He determined the priority targets," Milic told a news conference at the time.

The police official also said that he had taken part in thousands of crime scene investigation, but that something like this was unheard of in Serbian society.

He pointed out that the question is for the whole system - what should we do to prevent something similar from repeating. The boy's father, V.K., has been arrested. Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic stated at the same time that the boy's father said both the pistols were locked in a safe under a code, but apparently the child had a code.

Another boy was seriously injured during the event and was in critical condition.

Because of this tragedy, three days of mourning were declared in Serbia from Friday, May 5 until Sunday, May 7.
