The upcoming round of dialogue in Brussels, as well as the political and security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, were discussed today by the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, and the EU's special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, with special reference to the tensions raised by Albin Kurti in the four municipalities in the north.

Petkovic wrote on his Instagram account that he expressed his concern about the daily institutional and other forms of violence that the Pristina regime is carrying out against the Serb population, as well as the unreasonable, unilateral actions being made by Albanian politicians that threaten peace, especially in light of the attempts to forcibly take over municipalities in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, but also the attempts at illegally expropriate and seize Serb-owned land, all the way to the unilateral dissolution of the Management Team for the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities).

"Belgrade neither wants to nor is taking any steps that could lead to tensions and new crises on the ground, but will continue to preserve peace and stability as the highest values, while the sole responsibility for causing crises lies with Pristina. Despite all the challenges, we will save our people in Kosovo and Metohija," wrote Petkovic.
