German company that will build Belgrade Metro opens office in Serbian capital
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic posted photos on his Facebook account from a meeting with the global leaders of the Deutsche Bahn company, that took place in Belgrade.
"This company has opened its office for the whole of Europe in Belgrade, which proves that Serbia is developing and becoming an increasingly desirable destination for investments," he wrote.
Vesic said yesterday that a consortium of two European companies, which will manage the project of building the Belgrade Metro, consists of the German Deutsche Bahn and the French company Systra.
"We have a consortium of two renowned European companies, the German company Deutsche Bahn, which is German Railways, and the French company Systra, which won the tender and will manage the Belgrade Metro construction project. The contract is worth 46 million euros, it is funded from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, which means that we cover it completely from our budget," Vesic told Tanjug.
