RTS won't broadcast Eurovision on prime channel because of horrible tragedies: Here's where you can watch it
Serbia's public broadcaster RTS is informing its viewers that, solely due to pre-signed contractual obligations with the EBU - European Broadcasting Union, on Tuesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 11 starting at 9 pm, it will broadcast the first and second semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest on RTS3 (instead of the prime channel, RTS1).
The representative of Serbia, Luke Black, will dedicate his performance to the victims and to all of Serbia, in the wake of the mass shootings in the country last week.
Our representative Luke Black yesterday at the opening ceremony of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 mentioned the terrible massacres that distressed Serbia, and said he would dedicate his performance to his country.
Luke (real name Luka Ivanovic) revealed how difficult it is for him to focus on the performance, as well as how he feels now.
"I would not say that I am now the most professional person in the world or that I can hide everything. What I could see in the rehearsal footage was that there was a lot of anger. I don't know how to explain it, but now I want to sing all this much more than I ever wanted to. I came here, I was picked, it was my wish and my career, but now I'm really not alone," he told Telegraf.rs.
The music star revealed to whom his song and the semi-final performance will be dedicated.
"As it would have been before this event, literally to all of Serbia, but also for Serbia, which is suffering immensly. I will give it all I've got, pour my whole soul into that performance."
