He wanted death of children he didn't know for only 1 reason: Boy from Vracar had 16 students on the kill list

In the apartment of student K.K. (13), the police found a schematic of the school and a list with the names of 16 children whom he planned to kill, and the chilling fact is that among them there are children from the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade's central Vracar municipality whom he did not even know, Telegraf.rs has learned.

According to our information, the reason was extremely bizarre. Allegedly, certain children were better than him at something and he did not want them to stand out in the school for their skills.

The plan

K.K. planned the crime for a month. That Wednesday, after two days of Labor Day holiday in Serbia, he came to school with a backpack containing two pistols and four Molotov cocktails. He took the weapons from his father's safe. He acquired shooting skills from the age of 12 at a shooting range where the father, V.K., a prominent Belgrade doctor, was taking him.

In just 120 seconds, he shot 14 children, a security guard and a history teacher.

After the crime, he jumped out of the window on the first floor and called the police. The bloody incident began at 08:40 on Wednesday and ended two minutes later. He told the policeman that he is "a psychopath who needs to be calmed down."

Regarding the Molotov cocktail, he claimed that he had a plan to throw them at the entrance of the school so that the police would not prevent him from finishing what he started.

He is currently in a psychiatric clinic for children and youth.

The investigation

On the day of the massacre, the police detained his father V.K. He was remanded in custody for causing public danger. The boy's father presented his defense for three hours and denied any guilt.

Based on a warrant of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, an expert examination of K.K.'s mobile phone and computer is being carried out.

The investigation so far has shown that K.K. planned every detail. The sketches showed the path of movement, he killed the guard from 14 meters away, then three girls in the hall, followed by five schoolmaetes in the classroom on the first floor.

He shot most of his victims with a single bullet from a CZ99 pistol. He was precise and skillful with weapons, even when changing clips. He brought five to school.

He learned from the Criminal Code of Serbia that if he committed the massacre before he turned 14, he would not be held criminally liable.

It is not known how the parents failed to not notice what the boy was planning and doing for a month.

The school

Parents of children attending the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Vracar were informed that the students should return to class on Wednesday.

However, many parents are opposed to this decision.

Minister of Education Branko Ruzic has resigned.
