Photos from the scene: We reveal what really happened after police received report of an armed man in Belgrade

Police patrols were urgently dispatched to Vracar, a municipality in central Belgrade, after a woman reported that a man with a rifle was walking down Gospodara Vucica Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers determined that the report was false. The police are still there.

However, after the tragedies that took place over the last two days - when a total of 16 people, including school children, were killed it two separate mass shooting incidents - this false report greatly disturbed the public, so a nearby kindergarten immediately locked the premises up in fear of an attack.

That is why are making an appeal that on this day of mourning, declared in honor of the elementary school victims, and in the midst of a series of disturbing and tragic events, additional stress should not be put on the public by spreading false information or by making inappropriate jokes.
