The surgery performed on a student seriously wounded this morning during the mass shooting event at the Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School in Belgrade is over, but her condition remains critical.

A transfusionist who participated in the operation revealed for Telegraf.rs the latest details about the condition of the girl who was seriously wounded in the head.

"She received five units of blood, two during the operation, three after, I brought the bags myself," he said.

The medical worker adds that the two boys who were lightly wounded are stable.

"Their injuries will heal, but the head wound, that will be hard..." he reveals for our portal.

Earlier, in a statement to the media, the director of the Children's Clinic in Tirsova Street, Dr. Sinisa Ducic, said that the surgery was completed, that the girl sustained a severe brain injury, while her life is still in danger.

The shooting took place at 08:40, resulting in the deaths of eight students and a security guard, while six children and one teacher got wounded.

The shooter, K.K. - whom the Serbian police have in custody - took the pistol with which he committed the crime from his father, who has in the meantime also been arrested.

In addition to the weapons (he carried two pistols), the suspected perpetrator of the massacre carried four Molotov cocktails with him.

He will not be held criminally responsible for the nine murders because he has not turned 14 yet.
