Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic assessed that during the session of the United Nations Security Council dedicated to the report of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the work of UNMIK in Kosovo and Metohija, the most important thing for Serbia was that members of that body clearly indicated Pristina's obligation to form the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO).

"As you know, under pressure from Western countries, the number of meetings has been reduced, now they are held twice a year. I think that everyone has a wish that those sessions are fewer, and that in the end there will be no UNMIK either. Here, the most important thing for us is that the opinions of member countries of the UN Security Council are heard. They mentioned Pristina's obligation to form the ZSO, because the representatives of Pristina's institutions behave as if they have fulfilled all possible obligations and are now lecturing others," Dacic told Tanjug.

He said that it is important that "representatives of the US, Great Britain, and France in particular stressed the importance of the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities" adding that he does not need to single out Russia and China, who are traditionally Serbia's allies.

He pointed out that everyone kept coming back to Resolution 1244.

He also assessed that it can be said that the session was fair in terms of the approach of the leading powers.

"However, if on the other side you have a leadership that does not care about dialogue, does not care about peace... They (Pristina) show it everywhere, in all fields. They also showed today in New York. I said at one point, it went so far that several statements by Donika Gervala will go down in the history of hypocrisy, namely that 'Kosovo is the most democratic country in the region'," explained Dacic.

He added that the second false statement made by Gervala was that "Kosovo is a factor of peace and freedom in the Balkans" as well as that "when Pristina promises something, it will surely fulfill it."

"It's like listening to a tragicomedy, because if what they're saying wasn't sad, then it would be funny. 10 years since the signing, we are again talking about the Brussels Agreement. Where is the ZSO?," asked Dacic.

He also stated that Pristina behaves as if it dictates world politics and lectures world powers.

"And then, those stories about genocide. What kind of genocide (against Albanians) is it when a huge number of Serbs have been expelled, churches from the 14th century are burned... We are witnessing great pressure on our people, we are also witnessing 13 Serbs turning out in recent local elections," said the Serbian minister.

He said that he clearly stated the position of Serbia, which will never vote in favor of admitting so-called Kosovo to international institutions.

"What is our belief, we are 100 percent sure, is that Kurti will not fulfill that obligation, which is to form the ZSO, and thus will call into question the implementation of everything that was discussed. We will be constructive, we are not afraid of anything, threats, I can only say, 10 years ago I was here at the UN Security Council. Thaci was also here. Where is he now?," said Dacic, referring to Hashim Thaci, who is currently on trial in The Hague.

Dacic assessed that Pristina is a "lie machine."

"On the other hand, I have watched them fight for their independence for 15 years, and how far have they come? And now they say that they are recognized by I don't know how many countries. It's a machine of lies. Whatever the topic, they talk the same - genocide, Vucic, Dacic, Milosevic, we (Serbia) are little Russia, I am little Sloba, I am personally responsible for genocide...," Dacic said.

Dacic pointed out that they are saying in Pristina that someone better should be elected in Belgrade.

"It would be the twilight of Serbia if it chose someone who understands Gervala. I am glad that she is talking about the political system of Serbia, she still considers herself a citizen of Serbia," said the Serbian minister.

Dacic assessed that the Council of Europe (CoE) destroyed its principles by giving the green light to the procedure for admitting Pristina to the membership of that organization.

"The Council of Europe destroyed its principles by what it did. If they don't need our vote, fine. But, if Serbia has no say anyway, why are they putting so much pressure on us? Then why don't they do everything without Serbia? It's not exactly true that Serbia has no say. As for Zoran Milanovic's comments from Croatia, namely that they were among the first to recognize Kosovo, he better take care of his own issues in Croatia," Dacic stressed.

The minister said that he held working meetings with permanent representatives of Russia and of the US, as well as that the UN General Assembly is now being prepared, which will be held in September, and that this will be the next focus of Serbia.
