2-year-old V.C., who was injured on April 20 in the kindergarten Oblacak in Belgrade, has had his finger amputated in the children's hospital in Tirsova Street, Telegraf has learned.

The injury occured when a teacher jammed the toddler's hand in the gate.

"The child put his hand on the gate, and the teacher crushed his finger while closing it. In Tirsova, a part of it was amputated. The child is still being treated in the hospital. Everything has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office. The police were at the scene taking statements," we learned unofficially.

The finger lost is the thumb on the right hand.
