Djokovic looks at competition from top of ATP ranking for the 384th time: The writing of history continues
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic retained the first place in the latest ATP ranking, which was published today.
Djokovic is first with 7,135 points, which is 105 points less than in the previous list, since the best tennis player in the world was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Serbian Open held in Banja Luka.
The Serbian tennis player started his 384th week at the head of the list of the best players in the world.
Novak lost 105 points by dropping out in the quarterfinals in Banja Luka, he is currently at 7,135 points and will have 360 points less when the Masters in Madrid ends, which he decided to skip for several reasons. This means that by the Masters in Rome he could drop to 6,775 points.
Certainly, what is great is that Novak will definitely compete in Rome as the best ranked tennis player in the world, and we will see how things will develop from there.
When it comes to other players, the second place in the ATP ranking is held by Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz with 6,770 points, while Russian Daniil Medvedev is now third with 5,240.
Norwegian Casper Ruud fell to thefourth place, followed by Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, Russian Andrey Rublev, Dane Holger Rune, Italian Jannik Sinner, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime and American Taylor Fritz.
The second-ranked out of Serbian tennis player is Miomir Kecmanovix, who retained the 33rd place with 1,170 points. After winning the tournament in Banja Luka, Dusan Lajovic advanced by as many as 30 places and is now 40th on the ATP list with 994 points.
Laslo Djere advanced by eight places and is now the 70th tennis player in the world with 741 points, while Filip Krajinovic lost five positions and is currently 79th in the ATP ranking with 711 points.
The next ATP ranking will be published in two weeks after the Masters in Madrid.
