The movement of a bear that appeared in the area of the Pirot District was recorded on several occasions by the cameras of the Ponisavlje Hunting Association, reports pirotskevesti.rs.

According to Zoran Aleksic, the president of Ponisavlje, the appearance of the bear in the hunting ground was registered from the direction of Luznica, and now the animal is moving in the direction of the village of Sukova and towards the Vlaska mountain.

It is assumed that the bear came from Bulgaria and is trying to return to his habitat.

In the previous days, the bear was seen in the area of Petrovac, where he caused damage when he destroyed seven beehives.

Zoran Aleksic says that the bear is a species protected by law and that the Hunting Association is only responsible for monitoring its movements so that it does not endanger people.

Aleksic advises the citizens to remain calm should they come across the animal, not disturb him, and not try to endanger him.
