Streets flooded in Kragujevac: 80-year-old water main bursts

In the Stanovo settlement in Kragujevac, an accident occurred when the water main burst, causing flooding in some streets. Traffic is difficult in this part of the city. Competent utility crews were immediately sent to the scene.

"The pipe is located at a depth of six meters, so repairing it will take several hours. Only a small number of citizens have no water supply, because we managed to divert water from the Gruza pipeline to the customers," it was confirmed for RINA by the public water management company Vodovod.

The main pipeline that has burst was built in 1938, therefore wear and tear may be the cause of this accident.
