MUP's new weekend campaign: Increased controls starting, drivers under watchful eye of police

Due to the increased presence of foreign and domestic citizens on all road routes in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, police officers of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) will take measures to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, as well as to reduce the number of traffic accidents, the MUP announced today.

"During the coming weekend, control will be focused on detecting and processing violations that have a direct impact on the safety of traffic participants, especially on speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol and or psychoactive substances, not wearing a seat belt, and transportation of children in improper ways, as well as on violations committed by motorcycle and moped drivers." said Police Lieutenant Milica Dobric, from the Traffic Police Administration.
