Pristina arrests yet another Serb: "Continued pressure and persecution of the Serb people"
Miljan J. was arrested in front of his wife and two minor children who suffered enormous stress
Tuesday's arrest of former Serb member of the Kosovo policeman Miljan J. at Jarinje is a continuation of pressure and persecution of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, especially those police officers who left the Kosovo police last November, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement.
He was arrested in front of his wife and two minor children who suffered enormous stress.
Immediately after learning about Miljan's arrest, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija hired a lawyer who will defend him and help him in this case, while representatives of the Office contacted the family in order to provide them with much-needed support and offer any help.
One of the main questions to ask is how come Miljan J. previously moved freely through administrative crossings and was working for the Kosovo police, and now, some secret warrant is being opened against him overnight and he is charged with crimes that are years old, the Office said.
This speaks volumes about the nature of this staged and political arrest and the intentions of Pristina to deal with the Serbs who cannot be forced to return to the Kosovo police, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija's statement reads.
