Telegraf has learned that last night's case is not the only one and that similar scenes are very common

At least ten people, including children, got injured during a clash overnight in New Belgrade between Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) and Partizan supporters. Traces of the gruesome fighting are still visible at the scene this morning.

More than 30 people participated in the mass fight, and as Telegraf.rs has learned, Partizan fans were playing basketball when they were ambushed and attacked by Red Star fans. They wore hoods on their heads, and carried sticks and clubs.

A woman who lives near the place where the clash occured last night told Telegraf.rs how it all started.

"It was around 11 pm last night. A mob of 30 of them rushed through carrying meter-long clubs. I know that three young men were seriously injured, and ten more lightly," one of the residents told Telegraf.rs.

As we have learned, the participants in the fight fled towards Zemun afterwards.

"When the police came, they ran towards Vojvodjanska Street and threw away those poles, but the police picked them up for evidence," said our interlocutor.

She added that last night's case is not the only one and that similar scenes are frequent in New Belgrade, especially in this area.

"There are constant fights here, the hole near the garage is where they gather and start from and they are constantly fighting here," she said, adding that this is a regular occurrence in this area.
