A big "stop" for champion of so-called Kosovo: This country does not recognize it, will not issue her visa
The boxing representative of so-called Kosovo, Donjeta Sadiku, will not be able to participate in the World Championships because the host country, India, did not issue her a visa.
India does not recognize the illegal secession of the southern Serbian province, while Sadika has already said she will not compete unless the coat of arms and flag of so-called Kosovo are displayed. Of course, the organizer rejected that in advance.
"We applied for a visa back in December, we get the same message every month. We have contacted all important authorities, but there is no answer," said Latif Demoli, head of the local boxing association.
The organizer of the championship announced that the boxer's participation can only be realized under two conditions: the flag of so-called Kosovo and the anthem will not be used at any ceremony during the World Championship, and participants from an unrecognized country will not be allowed to display their flag, not even printed on their clothes.
In the end, two problems for Sadiku, and neither has been solved.
Sadiku won bronze at the European Championships in Budva in 2022, and received the same medal in Istanbul at the World Championships.
