Scandal: Red Star fans racially insult Lessort, he's also receiving horrific death threats!

Mathias Lessort has caused a serious scandal at the end of the Belgrade basketball derby, when he hit Filip Petrusev twice, despite the fact the Red Star player did not show the slightest desire to engage in conflict and even turned his back and ran away from the aggressive Partizan player.

Lessort also wanted to attack Petrusev a few minutes earlier, but somehow his teammates and head coach Zeljko Obradovic restrained him, however, they failed the second time.

Obradovic immediately apologized to Petrusev on the court, and did so later again during the post-match news conference.

Nevertheless, Lessort caused the anger of Red Star fans because of his behavior. He was problematic in derbies before, he wanted a showdown with Red Star players in Nis, as well, he at one time celebrated by pointing an insulting flag towards Filip Petrusev and Nikola Kalinic, and he also sang provocative songs against Red Star.

And after this attack on Petrusev, Red Star fans have gone crazy on social media.

As much as Lessort caused a scandal by attacking Petrusev, now they are making an even bigger one, because they are sending him horrible threats and racist insults.

The fans are calling Lessort a monkey, telling him he will never leave the Pionir arena - which is effectively a death threat.

Many also write to him in English, most often with the message, "See you in Pionir," but some of these are heinous, where they insult Lessort based on his race, while making horrific threats.
