It's official: Novak Djokovic to miss tournament in Indian Wells!
The best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, has officially withdrawn from the draw for the tournament in Indian Wells, since the authorities of the United States of America did not allow him to enter that country!
Djokovic will thus miss this tournament in the US for the fourth time in a row, while Georgian tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili entered the draw instead.
Novak is not allowed to enter the US because he has not been vaccinated (against Covid) while the tournament management tried to get an exemption for the Serbian in recent days.

On Friday, state security refused to let Novak into the US, and in that case only President Joe Biden could have changed the decision. However, that didn't happen and the way things stand, after Indian Wells, we won't see Djokovic play in Miami either.
The fall appearance at the US Open, fortunately, is not in question, since the Americans have finally decided to lift all Covid restrictions starting in May.
