Telegraf learns: Bulgarian who threw bottle at a bus and broke windshield with crowbar has been set free
Tihomir Telmekov (23) from Bulgaria, who was arrested on Friday and sentenced to 60 days in prison for brazen and reckless behavior, has paid a fine of 60,000 dinars (about 500 euros) and was released from prison in Padinska Skela, Telegarf.rs has learned.
He was found guilty for damaging a bus using a beer bottle and a crowbar, The accident happened on a highway, near the Zmaj gas station. As Telegaraf.rs reported earlier, he pleaded guilty.
"My friend was driving a car, when at one point the bus driver cut us off. I was in the passenger seat and then I threw a bottle at him (the bus), and when he stopped I smashed his windshield with a crowbar. I admit that I am guilty" - this is how Tihomir Telmekov from Bulgaria addressed the judge.
The arrest
On Friday, the Belgrade police arrested Kir Krumov (22), Mihailo Zaprinov (27), Tihomir Temelkov (23) and Radomir Zaprinov (49) from Bulgaria for attacking a bus near the Zmaj gas station.
The police were called by Ljubomir N., the bus driver who reported that he had been attacked. During the investigation, he revealed that while driving, he saw "boys" waving at him, asking that he stops the vehicle.
"The bus stopped at the Zmaj station. Then he noticed a young man, who hit the side window of the vehicle with a beer bottle and another who smashed the windshield with a crowbar. He then called the police and headed to the agreed location. Initially, we received information that shots had been fired at the bus from a car," said our source close to the investigation.
The Bulgarian citizens were arrested in a car with French license plates.
