Kisic: Family in disputed video that Jeremic published has no connection with the girl from Loznica

Minister for Family Care and Demography and member of the SNS Presidency, Professor Dr. Darija Kisic strongly condemned the move of Vuk Jeremic, who in the most shameless way lied and deceived the public of Serbia and abused children without parental care for the sake of gaining cheap political points.

"I am sure that with such brutal and scandalous lies, Mr. Jeremic is trying to cover up and divert the public's attention from the corruption scandal in the US, at the center of which he has found himself. Vuk Jeremic (former Serbian foreign minister) obviously knows no other way to improve his political ratings than lies and deceit, because he published part of a report that was broadcast on Swedish national television about the foreign adoption process and misled the public that the report involved a family that was interested in adopting a minor child from Loznica," says Kisic.

She added that the family from the disputed video, which Jeremic maliciously published on his Twitter profile, has absolutely nothing to do with the adoption of the girl from Loznica, whose case was recently abused by an MP from Jeremic's party, Ivana Parlic.

"The video shows a family that participated in the adoption process in 2020, which was not implemented, because a decision was made in accordance with the best interests of the child. The same couple adopted a child from Serbia in November 2021. It's a shame that Mr. Jeremic is trying to survive on the political scene by abusing the topic of adoption of children without parental care, by leading a continuous campaign of compromising child adoption procedures, which is carried out in accordance with all standards of professional work, domestic legislation and international conventions accepted by the Republic Serbia," Kisic is explicit.
