Serbian President Vucic is visiting Abu Dhabi
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is on a working visit to Abu Dhabi February 19-22, at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates.
On that occasion, Vucic will attend the opening of the International Defense Exhibition IDEX, where representatives of Serbia's defense industry are also participating.
IDEX 2023 is one of the largest and most important fairs where the latest equipment, innovations and technologies in the international defense sector are displayed.
During his stay in Abu Dhabi, President Vucic will meet with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE, as well as with other high-ranking officials.
Since 2012 until today, Vucic and Sheikh Bin Zayed have met more than 20 times, the last time in October in Belgrade.
"Mohamed bin Zayed is a sincere friend of Serbia even in difficult times," President Vucic said during the sheikh's visit to our country.
The two discussed oil, the geopolitical situation, investments, but also the loan of one billion dollars at a favorable interest rate of 3 percent, which Serbia received in September during the visit of President Vucic to the United Arab Emirates.
That visit was the president's first official in his second presidential term, and on that occasion, apart from the agreement on financial support, nine more agreements were signed.
During this visit, President Vucic will visit the G42 Institute, where he will talk with their representatives. G42 is involved in the development of artificial intelligence in a range of industries, including the government sector, healthcare, economy, hospitality and tourism.
Group 42 operates throughout the United Arab Emirates, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
