Military Museum offers free entry during Serbia's Statehood Day: 3,500 historical items are on display
To mark Serbia's Statehood Day (Sretenje), the Military Museum in Belgrade's Kalemegdan will open its doors free of charge to all interested visitors on February 15 and 16.
From 10 am to 5 pm, people will be able to view the museum's permanent exhibition, which includes 3,500 items and documents that cover the historical period from 4,000 BC, to the latest wars in the 1990s.
The exhibition includes examples of weapons, military clothing, uniforms, flags, decorations, as well as numerous photographs and works of art that vividly depict the military and national history in our areas, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia said in a statement.
On the occasion of the holiday, all visitors will also be able to enter the Gallery of the Military Museum in Balkanska Street free of charge on February 15 (from 10 am to 5 pm), and see an exhibition of photographs of the heroes fallen during the Battle of Kosare, set up to guard from oblivion the memory of Serbian soldiers who died in the 1999 NATO aggression.
