Panic in Vrsac: Earthquake felt strongly, glasses were shaking, people ran out of their homes
A strong earthquake (M5.3) shook Romania today, and it was also felt in Vrsac, a northeastern Serbian town that is closer to Romania than to Belgrade!
The locals tell Telegraf.rs that the ground shook strongly.
"Everything happened quickly, it started to shake a lot, I got scared and ran outside. Many of my neighbors were outside, then we realized that it was an earthquake," Savka T. (61) told Telegraf.rs.
According to her, no objects were falling nor are buildings in their surroundings, in the city center, damaged.
"In our apartment, the glasses only swayed and clinked. However, the fear is noticeable especially because of these events in Turkey," she told Telegraf.rs.
